Iran to manufacture Ikarus buses in new long-term partnership
Iran has announced plans to begin the long-term manufacturing of Ikarus buses, and is currently looking for key parters and negotiating on the preparatory conditions, Gábor Széles, president of the Ikarus Group, told Hungarian daily Magyar Hírlap earlier this week.
Gábor Széles, who was a member of the Hungarian delegation in Iran last weekend and signed an agreement on the delivery of 1,000 buses, said that Ikarus is planning to manufacture 3,000 buses annually, with 2,000 being marketed abroad.
He added that the main partner is expected be selected within the next few weeks.
