Ikarus to ramp up bus production as government initiative to promote local manufacturing takes off
In line with the government’s bus production strategy, Ikarus has announced to expand its production capacity to 3,000 vehicles annually.
A 2-to-1 strategy will allow Ikarus that if Hungary buys up 1,000 new buses, the company will still be capable of producing 2,000 vehicles for export, company owner Gábor Széles said.
Széles added that their usual export markets are already looking forward to their new products.
