Ikarus Egyedi to continue production despite bankruptcy proceedings
Currently under bankruptcy protection, Ikarus Egyedi Kft. has said it will undertake to pay off its debts by 30 September 2025 should it be allowed to continue production, and has offered a settlement to its creditors.
According to a statement released by Ikarus Egyedi Kft. on Thursday, it is in their mutual interest to allow production and the servicing of registered buses to continue, as otherwise the parts already purchased could only be resold at a reduced price.
They say with a minimal investment they could secure the production of 70 articulated, 9 medical and 6 electric buses.
