Hungary: volume of used car imports up in Q1

Between January and April 2022, 45,973 used import cars were registered in Hungary, a 12.9 percent increase from the 40,727 units registered in the same period the year before.
In the same time frame, the volume of new car sales amounted to 37,780 units, a 11.6 percent drop year on year from the 42,752 units registered the year before, car trading website JóAutók.hu told Hungarian news agency MTI, quoting data published by DataHouse.
While the volume of import cars decreased by 17 percent from 12,831 units in March to 10,659 units in April, this is unlikely to indicate a trend reversal just yet.
