Hungarian Mercedes plant reports on record-high sales and revenue in 2016
In 2016, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. produced nearly 190,000 vehicles in Kecskemét, 3.8 percent more than in 2015, and registered a revenue of €3.4 billion, also a slight increase from the previous year, the company’s CEO said in Budapest this week at the company’s year assessment press conference.
Christian Wolff, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Kft. (MBMH), said that thanks to last year’s record-breaking results, the company’s prospects are also highly favourable. Kecskemét has a bright future ahead, he added.
The current plant is currently being expanded with a €580 million investment, while a second plant is being built in Kecskemét with a €1 billion project.
