Hungarian bus manufacturers aim to boost annual national output to 1,000 units
This year, 450-500 buses are expected to be manufactured in Hungarian plants, and the plan is to boost annual production volumes to 1,000 units by 2022, Sándor Vincze-Pap, the president of the Association of Hungarian Bus and Coach Manufacturers, said in an interview with economic daily Világgazdaság.
He added that this year’s volumes will exceed last year’s output by approximately 150-180 units. However, even 1,000 units will be insufficient to support export sales, as the Hungarian bus fleet will absorb these volumes.
