Hungarian-built Ikarus articulated buses to be delivered to Volánbusz by end of summer
Articulated buses are constantly rolling off the production line at Ikarus Egyedi Autóbuszgyártó Kft. in order to fulfil a delivery to Volánbusz Zrt. by the end of summer 2018.
Egyedi and Volánbusz Zrt. signed a sale and purchase agreement one year ago, on 16 January 2017, on the production of 180 Modulo M168D articulated buses for a total sum of HUF 15.37 billion.
The agreement refers to a tender document published on 27 October 2016, which has since been amended due to a regulation change on safety equipment, resulting in the modification of the original delivery time to April 2018.
