Audi Hungaria Zrt. has been selected as Hungary’s most attractive employer in the automotive OEM category in PwC Hungary’s “PwC 2021 Most Attractive Employer Award” for the second consecutive year.

The serial production of the new articulated bus developed by Kravtex-Kühne, showcased earlier this year in October, is scheduled to launch next year. With a curb weight at three tons less than its direct competitors, the model serves as an efficient transition between the eras of diesel and electric drive.

Several automotive OEMs signed an agreement at the COP26 climate summit that commits manufacturers to work towards all sales of new cars and vans being zero emission globally by 2040.

Nevertheless, a total agreement is still a distant dream, as the OEMs rejecting to sign included large manufacturers, such as Toyota, Volkswagen AG and Renault.

Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 19,000 EQC SUVs due to a faulty power steering unit.

BMW has pledged to reduce the weekly working time of its Eastern German employees by three hours, levelling a decades-long inconsistency in the working hours of the German workforce.

The microchip shortage is having a grave effect on Czech automotive manufacturing, which has also taken its toll on the nation’s industrial production volume. Data from September shows a decline both in monthly results and year on year.

The chip shortage has also resulted in decreasing year-on-year car sales volumes in China for the sixth consecutive month.
