Prizes totalling HUF 2 million were handed out to university students at engineer student competition Techtogether Automotive Hungary, an event organised by autopro.hu.

Jaguar Land Rover’s €1.4 billion investment in Nitra has been completed. In the first year, 150,000 Land Rover Discovery cars will be produced at the new plant.

The company is offering €1,000 gross monthly salaries in operator positions, completed with competence bonuses and a monthly bonus of maximum 15 percent of the base wage. The salaries of process and quality control engineers start at €1,261 a month.

HBPO Automotive Hungária has expanded its portfolio with new products and added new premium manufacturers to its partners.

Measuring and sensor technology, navigation, infotainment, traditional parts for secondary markets, tools – these products and services from Taiwan were in the spotlight on the first day of Automotive Hungary.

“We are engaged in plant design and production manufacturing costs planning. This is important because certain considerations can be implemented already during the engine design phase, which will result in tangible cost savings during production.

"We are gathering more and more know-how and competence in this field. Of course, we are not the first ones to ask CEOs this question, but we make inquiries as to why is it not the manufacturers themselves conducting engine development in-house,” AVL Autókut Kft. CEO Dirk Janetzko said.
