The topping out ceremony of thyssenkrupp’s new production hall at Jászfényszaru, has been held recently. The €42 million facility will manufacture electromechanical steering systems for automotive applications.
Motor-Classic Zrt., a Tatabánya-based company specializing in the restoration of classic vehicles and the manufacturing of precision metal parts, has opened a new production hall and installed modern machining equipment with a HUF 1.5 billion investment, expanding its production capacities.
After nearly two decades, Hungary was once again represented at commercial vehicle expo IAA Transportation. Ikarus showcased two electric buses and a charging tower at the Hanover-based trade fair.
Through the acquisition of Net Mobilitás Zrt., the operator of car trade websites JóAutók.hu and Autó-Licit.hu, AutoWallis is targeting the online marketplace. The company is also set to enter the Austrian market by becoming the wholesale distributor of SsangYong vehicles.
An all-electric BYD bus has entered its test run at Mátra Power Station to transport employees. It is planned to replace the entire bus fleet to all-electric vehicles eventually.
