Last week saw an increase in reactions from the auto industry to the migrant-crisis. Executives from Daimler, Ford and Peugeot said last week that their respective companies would be willing the employ refugees at their manufacturing plants.

Faustmann receives honorary citizenship from Zsolt Borkai, Mayor of Győr

Audi Hungaria was in the spotlight last week. Thomas Faustmann, the company's resigning CEO has received the honorary citizenship from the town of Győr, and the government praised the plant's performance and contribution to the national economy.

Rába has set its foot in the Egyptian bus market, signing a supplier agreement with local bus manufacturer EACO to supply axle systems for 145 buses.

Official data shows an increase in July production output volumes thanks to growing production volumes in each region of the country, Béla Glattfelder, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Economy for economic regulation said last week.

The Mercedes-Benz Kecskemét plant is one of the main drivers of the Hungarian industry.
