Last week, Suzuki announced the market launch of a new model. We reached out to the Esztergom Suzuki plant regarding the revived Baleno crossover, to be making its debut at the International Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September, but they did not disclose any information that would suggest the Hungarian plant's involvement in production.

Last week, the PM of Slovakia announced that Jaguar Land Rover are building a new production plant at our northern neighbour.

We reported from the inauguration ceremony of Bosch Hungary's latest development complex in Budapest, and we were also present at the opening of BorgWarner's new branch in Oroszlány. The U.S.-based supplier moved its local powertrain division next to its turbocharger plant in Oroszlány.

In July, consumer prices were up 0.4 percent year-on-year, while showed no change from the previous month.

Inflation stagnated, while export volumes saw a significant increase: the volume of foreign trade in euro terms rose by 13.4 percent and import volumes increased by 8.9 percent year-on-year, while in the previous month, exports rose by 2.3 percent ad imports declined by 0.9 percent.

In June, the volume of industrial production rose by 11 percent from the previous year, while the working day-adjusted index shows a 6 percent increase due to the fact that there were an additional two working days this year.

Győr-based engineering firm develops motion sensing clothing to increase workplace ergonomics

Based on Q2 2015 data, macroeconomic analysts are expecting a 3 percent increase in Hungary's GDP this year.

Innovation

A Győr-based company announced that it is developing motion sensing clothing to increase industrial ergonomics and comfort for production line workers.

The company has plans to involve Széchenyi István University and the Győr Audi plant into the testing of the new product.
