Higher demand requires Magyar Suzuki Corporation to keep workers on extended shifts to keep up with increased order volumes.

Vitara keeps workers busy during summer at Esztergom plant

Last week, the company donated a Suzuki Vitara to the Fire Department of Esztergom, the town where the Hungarian plant is located. The vehicle will be used to drive to damage sites and as a firefighter lead car.

Győr-based Audi Hungaria has begun construction works to expand their existing tool shop by 15,000 sq m.

After completion, the tool shop will manufacture body panels, such as side panels, wheel arches, door and roof panels for certain exclusive and sports models of the Audi brand and the VW AG on an expanded production area of 50,000 sq m. The investment will create approximately 30 jobs at Audi Hungaria.

Back in March, Győr-based Borsodi Műhely Fémmegmunkáló Kft. was awarded as the most successful small or medium-sized enterprise in Hungary.

A new investment at Hajdu Autotechnika Kft., creating a hundred jobs at the Téglás-based sheet metal manufacturer, will significantly boost the company’s competitiveness by increasing the plant´s capacity and modernizing production technology.

Last week we had a look at the Credo buses manufactured in Mosonmagyaróvár and Győr, interviewing representatives of companies supplying parts to the Kravtex-Kühne group’s vehicles. Our conclusion was that the suppliers of Hungarian-made buses are ready for serial production.

Although the British automotive industry poses a lot of unanswered questions due to the recent Brexit vote, the Hungarian government is optimistic and expecting the UK exit to bring a positive turn for Hungary.

The Hungarian government has launched the Industry 4.0 National Technology Platform, an initiative promoting this new production philosophy.
