The Hungarian Bosch Group has disclosed its 2021 financial results. Despite challenging conditions, the automotive supplier managed to increase its revenues, spend HUF 100 billion on investments in Hungary, with investments set to continue throughout 2022 as well.

Bosch Rexroth has updated and expanded its distribution partner programme in Hungary. The first two local companies have already successfully completed the certification process.

The Association of the Hungarian Automotive Industry (AHAI) has held a general meeting to elect new presidency members. Róbert Krisztián, COO Magyar Suzuki Corporation, has been elected as president, while László Urbán, deputy CEO of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, has been elected as the chairman of the supervisory board.

Ford Hungary has also announced changes in management. Effective from June, after a successful two-year stint Attila Szabó will be replaced by Andrea Kővágó-Laky as CEO of Ford Hungary.

Mercedes-Benz is looking to reduce expenses related to entry-level models. At the same time, the car maker will place extra emphasis on direct sales, which will likely result in the closure of a large number of dealerships.

After an analysis of the financial reports of the largest automotive OEMs, Ernst & Young has concluded that despite positive fiscal results, there is significant tension all across the automotive industry.

AutoWallis has continued its expansion in Slovenia. The company has opened the country’s first Land Rover dealership.
