We interviewed Anton Ondrej, HR director at the Žilina Kia plant, about what kind of HR policy is capable of keeping labour force in a country where next year Jaguar is also expected to launch production. It will be inevitable for them to hire employees from abroad.

Zalaegerszeg-based Flex is currently in the process of implementing new surface treatment technology with a HUF 3 billion investment.

Tolna-based electromechanical and mechatronics systems manufacturer Fastron reported on increasing revenues and headcount in 2017 thanks to orders from the automotive sector.

GalvanPlastik has inaugurated one of the most advanced galvanising shops in Europe: the HUF 1.5 billion investment in Székesfehérvár will create 20 jobs.

Bumper manufacturing in Túrkéve is set to launch in May: Indian-owned Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG)’s investment will create 400 jobs.

Csaba Metál, engaged in the high-pressurised aluminium casting of automotive components, has inaugurated its new, HUF 5.7 billion production unit in Békéscsaba.

ECM-Clean will build an automotive centre in Sajókeresztúr with a HUF 10 billion investment.

The plan will manufacture products for applications in the field of air defence and aircrafts. Production is set to launch in 2019.

A new call for tenders for micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses in Pest County was announced last week with a total budget of HUF 4.5 billion.

TechTogether

Student competition TechTogether Junior is set to be held for the third time in the organisation of Autopro and Mobilis.

The event will engage all industries and services related to the automotive sector in the region.
