Győr to continue to host Formula Student Hungary

On the third day of Formula Student Hungary, the competition finally reached its most spectacular event on Saturday, where the racing cars built by young engineer students from all over the world had to compete against the clock.

At a press conference held at the event Péter Földesi, rector of Széchenyi István University, announced that the higher educational institute will sign a cooperation agreement with event organized X-Meditor Kft., expected to promote the university's aims in tertiary education and international recognition through the Formula Student series.

Another aim of the cooperation is to integrate Formula Student into the educational systems of technological universities at a domestic and international level.

László Palkovics, Secretary of State for higher education said that Győr will continue to host the Hungarian leg of the Formula Student racing series.

Barna Hanula, dean of the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Vehicle Engineering at Széchenyi István University, said the continuing sponsorship of FSH is a conscious investment from Audi Hungaria Motor Kft., promoting the education of well-trained engineers in tertiary education.

He added that Formula Student Hungary is an event where students from all over the world are happy to come.

Pat Clarke, a veteran in the Formula Student series from Australia, said that the event in Győr is the closest to his heart and one of the most well-organized events in the racing calendar.
