Flex opens new production unit in Zalaegerszeg
The current headcount of 2,000 employees will increase by 100 thanks to a new, 2,600sqm production hall.
Harjinder Bajwa, Flex vice-president responsible for global management, said the automotive business brings $3.5 billion in revenues, a three-fold increase from the fiscal years of 2010-2011.
In addition to Zalaegerszeg, the company’s automotive division is also present in Sárvár, as well as Mexico and China. Recent developments are mostly aimed at fulfilling orders by German car manufacturers, but their collaboration is also significant with U.S.-based OEMs.
