"Thomas Faustmann has done a lot for our plant in Hungary. Under his leadership, Győr-based Audi Hungaria has grown into the largest engine plant in the world, manufacturing nearly 2 million units every year. In addition, the plant has become a modern production unit capable of performing all manufacturing processes: the models that roll off the factory's production line include the Audi TT Coupé, Audi TT Roadster, Audi A3 Sedan and A3 Cabriolet," Waltl reminded.

In his new role, Faustmann will be directing 16,000 employees at the Neckarsulm plant, which produced 273,000 Audi A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 and R8 units last year.

"Peter Kössler, similarly to Thomas Faustmann, has worked at Audi AG for over 20 years. In his previous positions, especially as a plant director, he has gained a vast knowledge and experience at the company.

"Under his leadership the Ingolstadt plant has become the technological centre of the Audi group and Europe's second largest vehicle plant," Hubert Waltl said of the new CEO of Auid Hungaria.
