Epcos acknowledged with CSR Hungary award
Epcos, the largest employer in Szombathely, received awards in two categories at CSR Hungary 2014, awarding companies with outstanding efforts in corporate social responsibility.
Job creation, keeping local youths in Szombathely and creating realistic career alternatives pose a great challenge for local industrial players and educational institutions. In order to stop migration, the town needs to provide trainings that offer marketable know-how and create new jobs.

Epcos has developed its social responsibility scheme, Epcos School Works Programme (Epcos Suli Művek Program) for that end, and is contributing to familiarizing primary school students with the know-how with which they can start their careers – even in Szombathely.
CSR Hungary 2014 acknowledged the company's activities in promoting education and promoting scientific subjects among primary school students by awarding Epcos's School Works Programme.
The company, developer and manufacturer of automotive electronics systems, handed over the first 3D laboratory for primary school students in Hungary in September 2014.
