HR Director András Mezőközy said: the list includes "around a hundred" names, but the total number will "stay below 400" with the 158 people laid off in the first phase. He added that the list also included workers on placement and that the lay-offs mostly affected the field of administration. Mezőközy said: besides ISD Dunaferr Zrt., ISD Kokszoló Kft. and ISD Power Kft. will also dismiss 25 and 10 employees, respectively.

The Director said that 40 of those who were laid off in the first phase were transferred to the Dunaferr Employment Steel Foundation (Dunaferr Foglalkoztatásért Acélalapítvány), while 20 now work in positions that were previously filled in by workers on placement. There are also some who found work at other employers, said the HR Director.

Zoltán Borbély, the president of the central workers' council confirmed that the lists of employees to be dismissed had been submitted. On Monday, 85 and on Tuesday, 16 employees were notified.

He noted that the company had originally notified the HR Department about the dismissal of 150 employees. The rest are probably placement workers, he added.

According to the collective contract in effect, those involved in the first phase will receive their notice of termination on February 3 the earliest, while those who were notified this week will receive theirs at the end of March.
