DMG Mori and Heitec to establish joint research centre in Budapest

This year, the Hungarian government is allocating a record amount of subsidies, a total of HUF 182 billion, to research, development and innovation projects, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, (pictured above) said at a press conference earlier this week announcing a joint investment by Japanese tech giant DMG Mori and German software developer Heitec.
The Japanese-German joint venture of DMG Mori and Heitec will establish a Hungarian research centre in Budapest.
The HUF 4 billion investment is to be supported with a HUF 1 billion government aid, and will create a total of 55 high value added jobs in the field of R&D.
