Daimler: no summer shutdown at Mercedes Kecskemét
On July 6th, Kecskemét-based Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary announced the construction launch of its new production unit with a €1 billion investment. The company has no plans to halt production in Kecskemét during the summer.
The communications department of Mercedes-Benz have told us that there will be no summer shutdown at the Kecskemét plant this year, while the winter stoppage is expected to last for two weeks.
In this period they will carry out maintenance and conversion works at the plant.
The construction of the aforementioned unit will result in 2,500 new jobs.
