Daimler builds new body shop at Kecskemét plant with €580 million investment
The Kecskemét-based Mercedes-Benz plant will manufacture the next generation of the car maker’s compact cars. By 2018, Daimler will invest €580 million in the technological development and the expansion of its Hungarian location, including the construction of a new body shop in Kecskemét.
Around €250 million will be spent on a new 99,000 sqm body shop, to be equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
The investment will bring development to the existing facilities and expand production capacities.
