Chinese BYD open electric bus assembly plant in Komárom
China-based BYD have opened their first European bus manufacturing site at the business park in Komárom. The assembly plant is planning to build 400 electric buses annually.
BYD are one of the world’s largest electric bus manufacturers. Through a HUF 6.2bln (€20m) investment, the company has created 300 new jobs in Komárom.
The 66,000sqm assembly plant in Komárom is the first of the manufacturing sites BYD are planning to open in Europe.
