BYD in talks with Hungary’s foreign minister on potential expansion of Komárom plant

According to a press release published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade earlier this week, the bus plant in Komárom is BYD’s largest manufacturing unit in Europe. Boasting a headcount of 250 employees, the plant in Komárom has tripled its revenues in recent years.
Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s minister of foreign affairs and trade, held talks with Isbrand Ho, the CEO of BYD, earlier this week on the potential expansion of the Komárom plant, which could result in the creation of a number jobs in the region with high added value in the field of bus manufacturing.
