Bus manufacturing to stop at Ikarus Egyedi after failure to reach agreement with creditors
Bus production at Ikarus Egyedi is now in serious danger after the company has failed to reach an agreement with creditors at a supplier and creditor forum held on Tuesday, the company said this week.
Although majority owner Csaba Mészáros offered his 99 percent share in the company, MKB Bank, the largest creditor, did not except the offer, the company wrote.
A liquidation proceeding would not ensure suppliers to have their demands met, while stopping production altogether would endanger the servicing of finished vehicles and the production of medical buses.
