Bridgestone develops puncture proof OEM tyre for Mercedes

The tyre manufacturer will outfit the Mercedes A-Class and B-Class models with newly developed high-performance, 18” tyres featuring puncture proof technology.
The new tyre was developed at Bridgestone’s Rome-based R&D base, while its test run took place in Rome and Tatabánya.
“Our plan is to increase our OEM supplies to 30 percent of our total production by 2020, and have the ability to cater to manufacturer requirements locally, from inside the region,” Melinda Topolcsik, the CEO of Bridgestone Tatabánya Termelő Kft., said in a press release.
