Bridgestone celebrates 10th anniversary in Hungary, 14.5 million tyres produced since 2008
The Tatabánya-based tyre plant of Japanese-owned Bridgestone increased its revenues in 2017 by 47 percent to HUF 53.1 billion, the Hungarian subsidiary’s CEO said in Tatabánya this week.
Melinda Topolcsik added that a key driver of their growth has been a HUF 85 billion capacity expansion and technology development project.
The plant’s production area has been tripled to 150,000 square metres, and now boasts an annual capacity of 3.6 million tyres.
