Autopro visits Eckerle´s Hungarian locations
The Eckerle Group was founded in 1968 in the province of Baden, Germany. Constantly evolving, the locksmith workshop has grown into a multinational corporation. Today it has nearly 4,000 employees at production sites in five countries.
The Hungarian unit is one of the group's most important branches, employing 1,200 people at four locations. We visited the production sites in Bóly, Kiskőrös and Császártöltés.
In 2008, Eckerle Hungary split its Automotive and Industrial divisions, creating a dedicated department for both serial-production and automation (product and process development) activities.
In Hungary, the Eckerle Group has more than 1,200 employees, expected to increase by 30 in the next 2–3 years.
