Automotive manufacturing slows down Hungary’s industrial output in September
The industry’s weaker output in September was partially caused by a slowing automotive production, analysts say.
According to the latest data published on Thursday by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH), in September the working-day adjusted volume of Hungary’s industrial output increased by 2.2 percent year-on-year, while the raw data shows a 0.6 percent decline.
The exact cause of this weak performance is not fully known yet, but it is probably a continuation of the trend seen in the previous months, which shows higher output in segments with less weight, while the more significant sector of automotive manufacturing continues to falter, analysts commented.
