Autoliv temporarily resumes production at Sopronkövesd unit

Autoliv announced this week that it is temporarily resuming production activities at its Sopronkövesd plant to cater to incoming OEM orders. Autoliv is recalling less than one-tenth of its employees, and has terminated its contract with temporary employment agencies.
“This week, production could resume at the Sopronkövesd unit, engaged in the production of seat belts. However, only 200 employees of the 2,200 have been able to return to work. There are orders coming in, and employees are recalled in accordance with the volume of demand,” Marianna Marsits Horváth, secretary of the Autoliv Vasas Trade Union and chairman of the health and safety committee, told daily newspaper Kisalföld earlier this week.
The company ensured it is considering the health and safety of its employees top priority in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
