Audi targets cost reduction programme
Audi is targeting a €15 billion cost reduction programme by 2022, mostly affecting the car maker’s Germany-based locations, the head of the company told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung this week.
Operating a vehicle plant and the world’s largest engine plant in Győr, Hungary, the German car maker sold 906,000 cars in the first half of 2019 worldwide, 4.5 percent less than the year before.
Sales revenues amounted to €28.8 billion, down from the 31.2 billion registered in the same period last year.
