Audi, Mol and University of Szeged establish joint research centre

A new research centre is established in Szeged with HUF 4 billion in funding to assist industrial players in the development of renewable fuels.
On Tuesday, László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology, announced the formation of the Sustainable Green Chemical and Mobility Competence Centre in the collaboration of the University of Szeged, Hungarian oil and gas company Mol and Hungary-based Audi AG subsidiary Audi Hungaria Zrt.
Based in Szeged, south-east Hungary, the new competence centre will be engaged in the research and development of innovative fuels with a team of 30 researchers, and is scheduled to be fully operational by late-2022.
