Audi kills TT in favour of new electric model
Audi has announced to phase out the Audi TT sports car from its model range to introduce an electric model in its place.
Bram Schot, chairman of the Audi AG board of directors, said the car maker is striving consistency and focus, which means they will concentrate on “key projects” and reduce the “complexity” of new models as well as the whole of their portfolio.
Now in its third generation, the Audi TT was first introduced at the Audi Hungaria plant in Győr in 1998, and celebrated the 20th anniversary of its mass production last year.
