Audi Hungaria Tool Shop celebrates conclusion of major expansion project

Earlier in the week, Audi Hungaria Tool Shop celebrated the completion of a major investment project, which has expanded the unit's floor area to 58,300 square metres.
In a ceremony held earlier in the week, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Julia Gross, Ambassador of the German Federal Republic in Hungary, Dr. Csaba András Dézsi, Mayor of Győr, Alfons Dintner, Chairmain of the Audi Hungaria Board of Directors, Zoltán Les, Audi Hungaria Board of Directors Member for Vehicle Production, Jörg Spindler, Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Audi AG, Thomas Heusser, Head of the Audi Hungaria Tool Shop, György Nagy, Chairman of the Audi Hungaria Workers’ Council, Sándor Németh, Chairman of the Audi Hungaria Independent Trade Union, and Tünde Angyalné Endi, Head of Logistics Business Unit Tooling, inaugurated the expanded production area and new robot cells, which will be manufacturing body panels for exclusive models in the Volkswagen and Audi AG portfolios.
Exclusive series production, the Tool Shop’s main scope of activity, is primarily specializing in the production of high-complexity body panels made from aluminium: tailgates, doors, bonnets, doors, quarter panels, roof and side panels.
