Audi Hungaria report on solid results despite pandemic slowdown

Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Audi Hungaria Board of Management, and Dr. Patrick Heinecke, Member of the Audi Hungaria Board of Management Finance, IT, Procurement and Compliance, held an online press conference earlier this week to present the Hungarian plant’s financial report from fiscal 2020.
First, Alfons Dintner reported on the 2020 results of Audi Hungaria: the Győr plant manufactured 155,157 cars and 1,661,599 power units.
The plant has surpassed the 1.5 million unit milestone in vehicle production, while in engine production the manufacturing site is past the 38 million unit count. In 2020, the company's revenue from sales amounted to €7.518 billion.
An important milestone in the plant’s future is the introduction of the group’s PPE models, which will receive a dedicated production area in an already existing production hall. This new activity will create 700 jobs at the plant.
