Audi Hungaria hires 11,000th employee

On August 6, Audi Hungaria hired its 11,000 employee. Car mechanic Gergő Benjamin Csécsi, 21, will start his career at the company´s new car plant. So far in 2014, Audi Hungaria has hired 796 new employees.

" As Hungary's most attractive employer we have to strive for the best professionals, such as Gergő Csécsi," said Audi Hungaria board of directors member responsible for HR.

"The company offers excellent accomodation for employees, regardless of where they come from in the country," Knáb added.

The 21-year-old car mechanic came to work at Audi Hungaria from Pincehely, the southern part of Hungary and he is one of the many Audi workers whose home is over 80 kilometres from the plant. Audi has built an accomodation for its workers, paying for half of the workers' housing expenses.

Today over 3,000 people work at Audi Hungaria's car factory in three shifts, manufacturing the A3 sedan, A3 cabriolet and the new Audi TT Coupé models. The plant's annual capacity is 160,000 cars.
