Audi Hungaria all over the news as layoff rumours emerge
According to news outlet G7, layoffs at Audi Hungaria commenced already in the spring based on employee data.
G7 claims the primary method of downsizing is by not renewing the contracts of fixed-term employees at the Győr plant.
The Audi Hungaria Independent Trade Union has no knowledge of any layoff affecting 1,200 employees.
They said: “So far, it has been about not renewing the contracts of employees who had fixed-term work contracts in the first place.
"When someone signs a fixed-term contract, it is clear that renewal after termination is never guaranteed.”
