Audi announces plans to expand engine capacities at Győr plant
Audi is planning to increase the annual engine capacities of its Győr plant to 2.25 million units, it has been announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Hungary's foreign minister Péter Szijjártó spoke about the German car maker’s expansion plans in a press conference held earlier this week.
Up until now, Audi’s record-breaking annual production volume amounted to 2 million units.
The auto maker’s Hungarian subsidiary first announced its intention to expand its production capacities back in April.
In 2018, 1.95 million engines were manufactured at Audi Hungaria Zrt., expected to be exceeded by this year’s volumes.
