Quoting two different sources, Reuters reported earlier this week that BMW’s Neue Klasse EV models, to be entering production from 2025, will be supplied with batteries made by Chinese battery manufacturer EVE.

These batteries are said to have a 4680 cylindrical format (46mm in diameter and 80mm in length) – a design first used in the automotive industry by US-based car maker Tesla.

According to the reports, EVE could be planning to build a new plant in the vicinity of Debrecen to supply BMW’s new plant.
