P+P Hungária CEO László Gellén said 10 new jobs had been created in addition to the company's existing headcount of 200, allowing a significant increase in production capacity.

He added that the company received a HUF 622 million (EUR 2.05 million) EU subsidy in the summer of 2012, adding capacity, manufacturing equipment and new technologies to the Ajka-based automotive parts manufacturer's production.

Poppe+Potthoff manufactures common rail systems and high-pressure diesel injection pipes for automotive applications.

The company's common rail product is a key component in diesel injection systems; it stores high-pressure diesel and provides the fuel supply of the engine, Gellén said.

He pointed out that thanks to the common rail technology, the fuel efficiency of diesel engines increased by 20 percent, boosting torque in lower rev ranges by 20 percent and maximum performance by 25 percent.

In addition, common rail systems allow a cleaner operation, decreasing CO2 emissions by 20 percent and CO emissions by 40 percent, said László Gellén, adding that today, all diesel vehicles are fitted with common rail systems. P+P supplies components for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and ship engines.

The company is a supplier of Daimler, BMW, Renault, Caterpillar, Delphi and Cummins.
