Continental showcases EcoDrive hybrid system in Budapest

Shifting focus from 110V systems to 48V solutions, the supplier giant has developed a 48V technology that can be used as original equipment as well as aftermarket fitment, capable of achieving up to 20 percent increase in fuel economy.
In Continental’s EcoDrive system a belt-driven electric motor can power the vehicle on its own or provide boost to the internal combustion engine – or recover energy from the main power plant.
