500,000th car rolls off Mercedes production line in Kecskemét
Since the start of production on 29 March 2012, 500,000 cars have rolled off the production line at the Kecskemét Mercedes-Benz plant.
In strong collaboration with the Rastatt sister plant, the Hungarian manufacturing unit is significiantly contributing to the growth of the compact segment.
The CLA and CLA Shooting Brake models are manufactured exclusively in Kecskemét for the global market, Markus Schäfer, board of directors member for production and supply, said at the ceremony.
The 500,000th car to roll off the production line in Kecskemét – a major milestone achieved by the company's staff of 4,000 – was a Cosmos Black Mercedes-Benz CLA for the Hungarian market.
