4,000 Audi Hungaria workers go on warning strike
Employees at Audi Hungaria Zrt.’s Győr plant held a two-hour warning strike on Friday. The demonstration comes after unsuccessful attempts to agree on 2019 employee wages.
Almost 4,000 employees took part in the warning strike held on Friday morning between 9am and 11am, causing delays on the Győr plant's production line.
The Audi Hungaria Independent Trade Union (AHFSZ) said on January 17th that they had unanimously rejected the company’s latest wage offer, and handed over their demands.
As they wrote, they are not fighting for German salaries but to cut down on the perceived wage gap to Central European countries.
