20 years in Hungary: thyssenkrupp celebrates anniversary of automotive division
The company celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Hungarian automotive division where it all began in 1999: the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Twenty years ago, in November 1999, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) and thyssenkrupp launched a joint development programme.
“It makes me very proud to say that today we have 2,200 employees.
"Just as twenty years ago, we are still engaged in new and innovative solutions in Budapest, and we are concentrating all our efforts on our Hungarian projects,” Marc de Bastos Eckstein, managing director of thyssenkrupp Components Technology Hungary Kft., said at the ceremony.
