10 millionth engine rolls down Opel production line in Szentgotthárd
Opel Szentgotthárd is currently engaged in the serial production of one of the PSA Group’s key petrol engines with an annual capacity of 350,000 units. The 10 millionth engine to roll down the production line in Szentgotthárd was a 3-cylinder turbocharged power unit from the PureTech product line.
Following the pandemic-induced shutdown earlier this year, the engine plant in Szentgotthárd has been operating in full capacity in three shifts since May 13th.
Opel Szentgotthárd originally halted production on March 23rd as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and gradually ramped up production volumes following its restart on May 13th.
