1 million double clutch systems from LuK Savaria
"Szombathely-based company does not have to worry about the future," it was said at a ceremony on August 19, where the company celebrated an important milestone. LuK Savaria has manufactured 1 million double clutch units in Szombathely.
LuK Savaria Kft. has reached an important milestone as the 1 millionth double clutch had been successfully manufactured at the Szombathely-based company.
Segment leader Sándor Szilágyi and director of production Péter Nagy thanked the employees for the company's successes in the most recent period and pointed out how quickly the production of double clutch systems had reached full capacity at the Szombathely plant, reported alon.hu.

In 2012, the company believed that 1-1.5 shifts will be sufficient to meet customer demand but it soon turned out that even three shifts would be barely enough. In 2013, 500,000 double clutch units were manufactured at the plant, while this year, the same volume was already reached by August.
The company is positive about the future as the strict environmental standards will require more cars to be fitted with double clutch systems.
Michael Reinig, CEO of LuK Savaria Kft., said that the double clutch system is a very important product for the company. Not only because the launch of this product helped the company find a way to survive and step forward in a difficult period but also because the Szombathely-based subsidiary proved to its parent that the Hungarian plant is able to meet the strict quality standards required. All these play a significant role in the company's future, said the CEO.
Joachim Hoffmann, director responsible for the double clutch product line, confirmed Reinig's words. Hoffmann praised the work at the Szombathely plant both from the quality and quantity side of production, which will play an important role when making decisions in the future at the German parent.
He added that customers are satisfied with the products manufactured in Szombathely, which is why the Hungary-based plant has nothing to worry about for the future. Quite the opposite, the factory could launch the production of additional products in the future.
