3.5 millionth Suzuki rolls off production line at Esztergom plant

In nearly 30 years, the Japanese car maker has manufactured over 3.5 million units in Esztergom, delivering cars to 123 countries worldwide.
First established in 1991 with an impressive course of development through the years, Suzuki were the first OEM to bring back car manufacturing to Hungary after nearly 50 years, and have become the country’s tenth largest company by revenue.
The 3.5 millionth car to roll down the Esztergom plant’s production line was a crowd-favourite Vitara with a hybrid powertrain.
In 2020, the Esztergom plant is exclusively engaged in the serial production of Suzuki Vitara and SX4 S-CROSS models equipped with 48-volt ISG technology for the Hungarian and EU markets.
