Albacomp establishes innovation centre in Székesfehérvár

A 4,000-square-metre office building and production hall will be built by the end of 2014 for research, development, back office, trade service, educational and production activities with a HUF 1.5 billion investment.

A hardware development and testing laboratory will also be built, where GPS-GPRS simulations, EMC testing and tests in extreme temperatures will be conducted.

The innovation centre will house a high-security server room featuring servers for cloud-based ASP services, a high-performance network infrastructure and uninterruptible power supplies.

According to Albacomp's plans, the facility and its services will also be available for other companies. The company said that the centre will be used in the development and production phases of R&D projects carried out within the cluster.

The first product development project in the innovation cluster, the development of an air-quality testing device based on a mobile measuring network, will be carried out by Lemon Szenzorechnikai Kft. The aim of the HUF 382 million investment is to create a cheaper, easily distributable system, consisting of accredited measuring instruments.

Lemon Szenzortechnikai Kft. is owned by Albacomp RI Kft., Albacomp Services Kft., Combit Zrt., Aqua-Terra Lab Kft. and P-Energy Kft.

Albacomp RI is an employer of 82. According to public company data, Albacomp RI registered an income of HUF 3.2 billion in 2012 and 5.5 billion in 2011.
