German teams dominate at Formula Student Hungary 2016
Held at the Győr-Gönyű Harbour, the 7th Formula Student Hungary lined up 44 teams, including four teams from Hungarian universities.
In the overall rankings, CTU Cartech Prague from the Czech Republic finished in third place, Rennstall Esslingen from Germany in second, while Running Snail Racing Team, a team from Amberg-Weiden, Germany, finished in first position.
The prize for the best business presentation went to E-team Squadra Corse from Italy. The prize for the best technical design, awarding the most innovative car designs, went to High-Octane Motorsports from Germany. The cost efficiency prize was given to the German Rennstall Esslingen team.
Hungarian teams also showed a strong effort: BME Formula Racing Team from Budapest finished in 9th, after coming in second in the acceleration event, Arrabona Racing Team from Győr finished in 16th, KEFO Motorsport from Kecskemét in 32th, while Formula Racing Miskolc, making its debut appearance at this year’s event, came in 40th position overall.
